For the past 23 years, the Children’s Literature Conference at Shenandoah University has been striving to share with teachers and librarians the best that children’s literature has to offer. Join us for an amazing journey and study with highly talented authors and artists speaking and presenting at the conference: Jon Scieszka, Ralph Fletcher, Jarrett Krosoczka, Jack Gantos, Jim Murphy, Kevin O’Malley, David Macaulay, Gordon Korman, Jerry Pinkney and Chris Crutcher.

During the conference, participants will attend morning sessions with the featured authors and illustrators. In the afternoons, participants can choose to attend small group workshops, classes and roundtable discussions.

Whether you work with the very young or the seasoned student, you will find new teaching ideas, new resources and new understandings to promote literacy in the classroom. For more information, contact Dr. Karen Huff at khuff@su.edu or call (540) 545-7215.  http://www.su.edu/sas/education/CL-Webpage/CL-Index.asp
